Buratowski Lab Home Page

Research Interests

Our research addresses the mechanism of gene expression in eukaryotes. The lab works on RNA polymerase II transcription initiation and the subsequent processing of the mRNA. Current projects include TFIID (TATA-Binding Protein and the TAF subunits), TFIIB, TFIIE, TFIIH, linkage of transcription and mRNA processing via modification of the RNA polymerase II C-terminal domain, and the interplay between the transcription machinery and chromatin.
